MICHELIN Edito terminaltractorandtrailer 0 43 1024 494 max Tire

WHY THIS TIRE?

VERSATILITY

Same size and tread depth for all axles (front and rear).

Reduced number of SKUs for better tire management, and less downtime.

PRODUCTIVITY

Less downtime: low puncture rate due to reinforced sidewalls and tread compared to truck tires.

Intended for airport terminal tractors: specially designed to be used in conjunction with powerful engines and engine braking at low speeds (average speed between 6 and 15 mph).

Other advantages: tubeless, no rim band or tire tubes, tire can be repaired and retreaded, long service life.

SAFETY AND RELIABILITY

High tread grip level: improved maneuverability and stability during use.

Excellent performance on wet surfaces (driving on ramps).

Tubeless tire: mounted on a drop center rim, easy to install, increased safety (no projecting locking ring). Antistatic.

REDUCED FUEL CONSUMPTION

The MICHELIN X -TERMINAL T (280/75 R22.5) can provide up to 15.6% savings on fuel (1) compared to a combination of conventional bias-ply tires (10.00-20 Goodyear Hi-Miler CT 176) with a loaded trailer on solid rubber tires (10.00-20 Simex), and up to 7% when empty. (2)

(1) TEST CONDITIONS: Total distance: 1.35 miles; Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractor; nominal load: 28.5 metric tons; speed of travel: 18.6 mph (30 km/h).

(2) These fuel consumption tests were conducted over 2 days at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) with 2 equipped trucks. The test was conducted in a typical environment with real port equipment. This test enabled us to calculate a savings of 238 ml/mi when the vehicles were loaded, and 50 ml/mi when the vehicles were empty.
