The Michelin X® TWEEL™ SSL family of airless radial tires eliminates downtime due to flat tires. There is no need for complex mounting equipment and once they are bolted on, there is no air pressure to maintain. The unique energy transfer within their poly-resin spokes helps reduce the “bounce” associated with pneumatic tires, while providing outstanding handling characteristics.
The MICHELIN X® TWEEL™ SSL All Terrain tread is designed to provide excellent traction on a broad range of surfaces.
Mainly used on skid steer loaders: it is characterized by its universal, 8 hole, interlocking heavy gauge steel hub.

The Michelin X® TWEEL™ SSL Hard Surface Traction model is designed to provide maximum tread life on paved surfaces.

The Michelin X® TWEEL™ SSL with 2-piece hub models coupled with optional hub adapters allow for use on a variety of light construction equipment with different bolt patterns.
The service life of a TWEEL, Michelin airless tire, varies dramatically by application from turf to construction. On average, small Turf Tweels are designed to last 2-3 times longer than their pneumatic counterparts. For SSL Tweels, the life of the Tweel varies based upon the underfoot conditions. Contact your local dealer representative for more information.
SSL TWEELs can be replaced under warranty. They are also equiped for retreading, if worn.
Currently, the TWEEL SSL is the only TWEEL capable of retreading. Retreadability will vary with usage history. While we have seen examples of TWEELS being retreaded successfully up to 5 times, Michelin's warranty on a TWEEL retread is only for the first retread. Please check with your dealer representative.
