Yes, recapped tires are allowed on buses with fitment only on drive axles and/or on tag axles. The fitment on front axles is not allowed.

How much does a bus tire weigh?

Bus tires are significantly heavier than passenger car tires. This is because they must have the capabilities for being used under much larger loading conditions and to have all the capacities of durability and endurance required in urban usage conditions, for a multiple life approach.
